We are very privileged to announce the Second International Conference on Performance-based and Lifecycle Structural Engineering (PLSE 2015) to be held in Brisbane, Australia from 9th to 11th December 2015. This event will be organised by the School of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland together with the Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The 2012 inaugural Conference held in Hong Kong saw more than 300 delegates from all around the world. PLSE 2015 is determined to continue this success by providing an international forum for scientific exchanges in performance-based, and lifecycle structural engineering and related topics. Full integration of these topics offers an exciting new direction for structural engineering within the context of sustainable urban development.

PLSE 2015 will concentrate on promoting quality research whilst combining theory and practice, in an atmosphere of true international cooperation between scientists, engineers and managers. Extended versions of selected papers presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in three prestigious international peer-reviewed scientific journals, Advances in Structural Engineering, Engineering Structures,  and Fire Safety Journal, and included in the ISI Science Citation Index.

Brisbane is an ideal location for the Conference as it is the capital of Australia’s premier tourist region. It presents an ideal opportunity for delegates to enjoy an iconic Australian experience. For more information about Brisbane click here.

We are looking forward to your participation in the PLSE 2015 Conference and welcoming you to Brisbane. You will enjoy, to the fullest extent, the unique Australian experience here in Brisbane. PLSE 2015 will generate an atmosphere of collaboration which we hope you will join.
